Among her sources of inspiration, in addition to her major influences, Basquiat and Twombly, Dalle-Ore readily admits a real affection for the 1950s and 60s. The old-fashioned aesthetics of the advertising posters of the time, their color and their specific grain of paper. Dalle-Ore has a predilection for urban themes and the emblematic characters of the 20th century. Her gallery of portraits ranges from Pop icons, to symbols of fashion. It also goes from politically or socially aware artists to political figures. Dalle-Ore extracts them from their context, accentuates the traits, exacerbates the curves and saturates the colors in her compositions. Conventional portraits are re-visited, she absorbs her subject. The artist challenges it to build a personal vision that oscillates between humor and poetry, nostalgia and modernity, provocation and worship.
Then, she transforms our perceptions and manipulates photographs with enthusiasm.
