BIOGRAPHIE
AMARTen is a French artist born in 1960. After graduating from the Beaux-Arts, the young artist devoted himself body and soul to painting. He focuses on urban landscapes and makes them his favorite subject. Although this pictorial genre has been explored for many years and is illustrated by its traditionalist aesthetics, this is not the case for the paintings of this talented artist. All in all, let’s say that banality is far from being within his grasp.
On the contrary, AMARTen realizes landscapes of an unparalleled modernity. Artist of his time, fully inked in the heart of his time, the subjects he depicts have evolved over the years. The immensity of the New York buildings has replaced the deserted expanses and landscapes devoid of any contemporary civilization. Moreover, AMARTen has a taste for instantaneity. The spectator can only be amazed by his ability to immortalize the swarming of cosmopolitan cities. Through the immensity of the buildings, AMARTen depicts the untimely agitation of the crowd. Master of hyperrealism, the artist captures the smallest of details. A star, a sign, an office light, no element is missing.
His paintings are synonymous of vitality. Luminous and colorful, they bewitch whoever likes to look at them. But here, contemporary agitation is not synonymous of anxiety. On the contrary, AMARTen’s paintings show a certain lyricism. The lights that the painter elaborates confer a peaceful and poetic atmosphere. Under our amazed eyes, a whole universe is revealed to us. AMARTen’s fascinating creations are rare and coveted.
